HSBC UK are proud sponsors of Birmingham Pride and social media is a major activation channel for them to raise awareness of both the Pride message, and drive engagement around the event itself.
Our task was to capture all the action from Birmingham Pride as it happened,creating exclusive, quality short and long form content that could be shared with social media users wherever they were, and get them closer to the action on the ground.
The only way to truly capture all the energy, colour and character of Pride was to document it through the perspectives of the people that make it what it is– the organisers, the campaigners, the general public participants and of course, the star performers. To activate the campaign idea Portraits of Pride, we installed multiple filming crews on the ground to capture the stories and perspective of Pride participants, editing their stories in real time and sharing them out to social media within hours of them being captured. Supported by both paid and owned media, we created multiple pieces of unique content across the weekend, helping HSBC to raise awareness of it’s support for the LGBTQ community and drive quality brand engagement.
