Our work with Specsavers’ covers the full spectrum of their global technology and IT projects, including strategy, UX support and new innovations. Our flagship project, though, is an innovative iPad app that can change the way customers choose new frames.
We developed a UK first, facial analysis mobile app using Objective-C/Swift technologies. It uses facial recognition software to analyse customer face shape and recommend frames. The app also pulls in customer information, such as pupillary distance, age, gender and previous purchase history to make its recommendations.
The longer-term aim of this app is to support frame selection, while increasing the frequency of purchases between new prescriptions. By using intelligent eCRM, the platform will proactively email customers each time new frames are launched that the system feels suit the customer face shape and purchase preferences.
